Angelica Panganiban (born Angelica Panganiban) is a Filipino American model, TV host, and comedian. She was forced to adapt her lifestyle around hemodialysis then dialysate for the peritoneal area. After an hospitalization of 80 days Angelica nearly died after which she began a journey to recovery. After one year and a half of dialysis Angelica was ready to undergo the largest surgery of her life-her kidney transplant. Angelica's mother was the only person who was able to donate the kidney. Angelica and her mother had the surgery to remove their kidneys successfully on September 13, 2013 at Emory University Hospital and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston, two hospitals located across from one. Angelica Hale pursued her dream of being a star from the beginning.
